Wonderful story Ellise. As I've said before I'm not a romance reader but have been happily surprised by your creative and captivating writing style. 6stars and a full backing, like all the others. GCleare
Ellise, what can I say? Your first chapter is fabulous, a fitting prelude to the last book in your Historical Romance series. Charming, classic romance. This series should be published! ~Gail SECRETS WE KEEP ~ I LOVE CHOCOLATE Kim Padgett-Clarke
Hi Ellise I have just read the first three chapters of this and I am very impressed. Although historical romance is not my thing I can appreciate from the way this is written that someone who did love this genre would not be able to put it down. I like the clash between the different cultures and lifestyles of Elspeth and Myles. They get off to a bad start when she unintentionally insults him over the horses shoe but you just know that they will get over it at some point later on! The poor young girl seems to be pulled in so many different directions between Mary and her mother that her head must feel like it is spinning on it's shoulders. Well done. I am sure this will do very well. Kim (Pain) |

CREIGHTON’S DAUGHTER This is a charming story. I like the way you’ve set this in a small town; filled it with simple, but gossiping people. Elspeth makes a good main character. Maybe a little too enamored by Miles, but she stands out because she’s quick to speak her mind. Miles is equally likable; not sure why these women are all over him; just trying to get his job done. I think you’ve caught the right tone for the story: not sure this is chick-lit, tho. I think it’s going to be too deep a story to be labeled that. I’m starring it and adding it to my shelf. Wanttobeawriter: Who Killed the President? Kerrie Price Hi Ellise, this beautifully written, a truly charming historical romance. Your expressions are well crafted and your work is well edited. This book deserves to be published. Six stars. KMac23 I had this on my watch list for a while and just got to it, and wow, I loved everything about it! I know this deserves to be at the top. I gave it 6 stars and will be looking to buy this someday! Nice work, Kara |

This is a wonderful story. It's kind of funny to see Elspeth so flustered by a hot masculine bod but it's one of those quirks that connects readers with the characters. There's been a few times where I was so distracted that I was stuttering over simple sentences. But anyway, not exactly my genre but still a wonderfully well written story with in depth character's and really an interesting little town. You've built quite a setting here. :) Well done. *Neicy* pinkyfloyd Super excited for you to get your whole series on here. They are all "can't put them down" kind of books!! And all great covers by the by! Diane does great work and the creative juices do flow quite freely in this family of ours ;) Great job Ellise! KMac23 This looks good! I'll put this on my watchlist and read it when I get the chance. I like this type of genre. |
