Elspeth McCabe leaves her small Scottish home desperate to find someplace safe…even if safety is only dirty streets. She cannot bear another day spent at the mercy of others.
Elspeth’s life in the year 1585 is filled with hardships she has borne with steely resolve for 20 years. Strong-willed, but quiet, she serves diligently in a wealthy household...a rich landowner's. But she will not allow his hands to touch her ever again. Nor will she allow her merciless and abusive father to take from her the only thing which might prove her bloodline.
Now on the run and without friend or support of any kind, she continues to bear difficulties that would easily destroy others. And it nearly does destroy her. Near death’s door, Elspeth is rescued and brought to a beautiful manor house in the Sussex countryside—Huntington Manor. Will she ever awaken? And if she does, will she find more evil charades she has only just escaped? Will she find a new master intolerable and immoral, too?
But Elspeth does awaken and what she finds frightens her more than any detestable hands ever could. Frightens her in a most strange, unpredictable, and delicious way. Can Elspeth ever trust a man enough to discover what a true and kind gentleman is all about? Find out in this third installment of The Huntington Saga Series Novels.
This is a standalone story, but enhanced by the previous books.

September 1, 2016 UPDATE!
I've had so many of you asking when Elspeth Was Her Name will be released. That makes me so happy! It also makes me sad to tell you that I haven't been working on it for awhile, and I'm sorry to have to admit that to you all (although I'm two-thirds of the way finished!). My health has been so poor and gets in the way of so much that I am trying to do. So...the honest truth is, if you would love to see Elspeth out sooner, there's something you can do for me. Please share my work with everyone you know. This would help me tremendously, which in turn, helps me finish writing books. It takes so much energy and brainpower to work on these stories and, although I love them, I'm sapped.
The good news is -- I plan on finishing Elspeth no later than spring of 2017. I'm putting a date on it now so that I can push myself to finish on time for my fans. And if you can't wait til then, click here for something new to read from me. But I must warn you, it's scary -- not my normal genre. And it's not even close to Elspeth, but...it's something new.
Until my next update -- be well and celebrate life! Love others, forgive, and love some more...

Five 2016 Projects, so far…
We’re hot into the second quarter of this 2016 year, and a lot has been going on. I’m sure for you, too. Navigating the list can be daunting, right? But I’m giving it the best shot I can give. How about you? I hope you’re having a great year!
Here’s just a little of what I’ve been working on:
New books coming soon:
***SPOILER ALERT*** In my book, The Governess Trilogy, there is a book of poetry gifted to Miss Carly Blakemore to read. She hated it. It was gloomy and morose. After reading several poems from that book, she worried for her master, Lord Huntington, who was the person who loaned it to her. She worried about him, especially the condition of his wounded heart. Further in The Governess story, Carly reads some very romantic poetry penned by her master, surprising her, but she doesn’t know who he has written it regarding. It further surprises her how deeply he feels. The idea that his heart is healing makes her profoundly happy, yet she feels a spark of jealousy as she discovers that the thought of any other woman inciting such devotion from him upsets her. She shocks herself when she realizes that she would love to be the woman he is speaking about.
It is this very poetry, both heartbreaking and heart-healing that I am contemplating writing as a supplemental book to accompany the original story. Now my readers will not only have Carly and Creighton’s story, but the book of poetry that gives insight into The Governess. I have yet to begin this project, for I wanted to see if there would be any interest in this book.
Please click here and add your name to the list of readers who would enjoy this book of poetry that Creighton and Carly both read.
Another new project I’ve been consumed with writing this past month – A Guide to Writing Your Book with Zero Budget Tools: How to Plan, Write, Publish & Market Your Book with Zero Budget Tools. This is the project in which I am currently spending most of my time. It is a systematic instruction guide of how I wrote, published, and marketed my books for virtually free, as well as successfully sold my books online, and how anyone can replicate that process. I think I’ve learned some valuable lessons that are worth sharing, all on a zero budget.
If you’d like to add your name to the sign-ups for:
Some of you will remember an email from me, a month or two ago, telling you about a new category that I’m writing a short story about – My historical romance with zombies. Yes, I know. Silly me. It’s called Zombie Apocalypse at Loughurst Castle: Book 1. The title may change, and so might the cover, but for now, I’m good. Here’s the link if you’d like to sign up for the mailing list to be notified when this book is released.
And for those of you who signed up already in my previous email, you can still sign up for this new list, but you don’t have to. I will be sending a letter out to those who are on both lists and want to purchase the book, and / or first want to be a beta-reader for me. Thanks!
And even though I’ve taken a break from completing Elspeth Was Her Name, I will finish that novel, a historical romance, my favorite genre, and publish it just as soon as I can. I am so excited to share my stories with you. Thanks for the support!
And now, for another new project: I’m in the middle of creating a Course to accompany my “How To” book.
This COURSE will teach “hands-on,” step-by-step application of the methods taught in the book, A Guide to Writing Your Book with Zero Budget Tools: How to Plan, Write, Publish & Market Your Book with Zero Budget Tools.

I’ve been reading and researching a TON, which is taking up more of my time than actual writing. Well, that’s not quite true. I’ve been writing a great deal, but just not romance. Well, that’s not even true either because the zombie story has to have a little romance, since that’s what I do. There always has to be a hero. But I’ve been concentrating my time writing my How To book and creating websites, and putting together my course, as well as learning how to do a webinar, and tons more cool stuff. Crazy, I know!
I’m exhausted, but I hope that what I’m learning will change things up for me. I enjoy the idea of helping other authors and “want-to-be” authors. And I’m also looking forward to finishing the romance series for my readers’ entertainment. All great fun.
Good luck with your goals and your dreams for the rest of 2016! I hope you sign up for the projects you're interested in following.
Enjoy the journey with me.
Before I get any further…
…I should really ask this question of my readers.
Would anyone read a historical romance with zombies in it?
So here’s the deal. I’ve always thought zombie books/movies were stupid, but recently, I’ve seen some fun-scary stuff. So, I was prompted to ask myself the above question. I mean, I know this is a popular enough idea for many readers out there or there wouldn’t be the whole Pride & Prejudice & Zombies movie out, right?
But would my readers go for it?
That’s what I’m asking.
I needed a change, and I got this crazy idea in my head, and before I knew it, my fingers were flying as fast as they could go! And now I have over 10,000 words written for this silly romance with zombies in it. How crazy is that?!
Well, I want to know. So please, if you’d like a diversion, something crazy and totally different, let me know. And a head’s up…I’m really not into tons of blood and guts, it’s more like a PG sort of thing, but I like the whole, “What’s around the corner?” adrenaline rush thingy. Gets the blood pumping, doesn’t it?
So let me know by clicking here and telling me what you think. I’d love to hear from my readers.
From a very curious author
P.S. If there’s enough interest, I’ll make it available (I mean, I’ve already written several chapters, so what else am I going to do with it, right?). I think it would be fun. Anyone remember the old “Creature Features” on TV on Friday nights? Giant spiders, swamp men, Dracula—scared the pants off me! (That’s pretty scary!)
P.S.S. Don’t worry. This will not be my permanent genre! I plan on finishing my series and all the other ideas swimming around in my head.
P.S.S.S. I’m going to need beta-readers, so if you’re interested, please let me know. Thanks!
Being diseased and sick has been my life these past eight years (and then some). As many of you know, I have been on a journey to heal. I believe I have found something 'pivotal' that has the potential to change how we all look at our bodies and the special-ness inside. The journey continues. I'm giving this a go and have a very hopeful outcome. Some things will have to wait for completion...my latest book, for example...but then, if there's no me, there's no new books. I've gotta get my priorities straight. ;) Here's to that attempt!
Wow! Lady Gabrielle is featured on eFictionFinds! Click here to see! You might find some other goodies to read as well.
Not only do I have two FREE books on Amazon, Lulu, Nook, and Kobo, but I also have two FREE books on my website: http://elliseweaver.weebly.com. But I'm still not done. Besides the deleted and altered scenes in book format on my website, I now have yet another book up for grabs for FREE--for a limited time only. Right now, on my website, The Governess Volume Three is available! Click here to see!
Now you can get all three volumes of The Governess for free, plus two Victorian Bride Romance Short Stories--prequels to The Governess.
Happy Reading everyone!
I'm so excited and honored that Pirate Bride is an Editor's Pick on Book Country! Click here to check it out!
My daughter was telling me about her awful nightmare she had last night (probably brought on by the book she was reading at bedtime), and after she got into it, all I could say was, "Wow! That'd make a great book or movie!" (I'm a really, really supportive mom...) ;) It freaked me out in the 'Woman in Black' sort of way (haven't seen the second one, and I don't know if I possibly could! So scary!) I think I was pulling a grimace the whole time she was telling me, and I was thinking, how awful that my baby was dreaming this! But, wow!
And she remembered so much... And now I'm thinking that I'm so awful!
Such detail, though. It would be such a waste. So much so that we are going to take a break from life and sit down today to try and convert it into a short story and publish it. Are we screwed up, or what!?! Sounds like a fun project to me.
See you on Amazon--and we'll let you know when! Here's to creating stories! What a fun adventure!
I have so many loves in my life. I'm so entirely grateful for them...my darling husband who loves me. My children... family, friends...
I'm so glad to know, too, that my sweetheart does love me. That's so important to a romantic like me. He misses me when I'm gone. My kids tell me how cute he is when I'm not there, how he mopes around cleaning everything in sight, asking if I've called...so sweet. :) I love him. It makes my day to know that I'm thought of and missed.
I love my kiddos, too. Wow! What amazing feelings come up when thinking of them. I'm so blessed. I thank God for so many special people in my life. I'm such a happier person knowing they're there.
Gosh, and then there's extended family...I have the best! I'm so lucky to have them in my life. Pictures surround me, and I look at all their faces and recall the joy I feel when I'm with them. Just amazing! I'm just so grateful for loved ones and friends.
You are ALL jewels in my life. Thank you for being there!
And sweetheart...I love you!

It's almost been a month since I blogged about anything, and so I figured it was way passed time to write something. The only problem, I really don't have much to tell. Life is good. We're all alive and kicking. What more could I ask for? The Christmas holiday was beautiful and fully enjoyed with family and guests that stayed and helped make our celebrations bright. Christmas is such a special time. We are so blessed to have a Savior.
New Year's was just as fun. We had a Harry Potter marathon since we had not seen all the movies. We've consumed an inordinate amount of popcorn. It was crazy fun. My family spoiled me on my birthday, making it a two day event instead of one, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Who doesn't love getting spoiled? I'm tired from all the busyness. It really drains me, but its worth it.
And now I'm trying to get back into my writing groove. I'm helping edit a dear friend's work, as well as my own sweet husband's books. He published his first book in December and just finished his second book last week. Now we have yet to finish the editing process, but I'm excited about this book. He's a natural born writer. And my next book is due out in the springtime.
I have so much to be grateful for. Another year has come and gone and this new year of 2015 has been a great start off of good things to come. I feel my blessings mounting, even through hardships. I love my family and extended family with all my heart. I'm ever so grateful for them. My mom had an episode this past weekend, which shakes us all up, as it should, but I'm so very thankful that she's still with us.
Life is good. I hope you can see your blessings through your trials too. There is much peace to be found in counting them.
Happy New Year!
